Life of an Acid attack survivor

Acid attack

An acid attack is a form of violent assault. It is an act when you throw acid or a corrosive substance into someone's body intending to kill or to torture that person.

Why people throw acid?
Acid is mostly thrown at women on their faces.
The acid attack mostly takes place when a women reject a marriage proposal or a sexual advance by a man.
If a man proposes to a woman and If she says "no"
Man's self-esteem is affected and they feel less of a man and to feel more powerful or to take revenge from the woman instead of dealing with rejection and moving on the man throw acid on her face. There is also the man who is an acid attack survivor. In some places, if a man is eve-teasing or sending MSG to a woman which she doesn't like, she can not tell her family in the fear that her family might not believe her or stop her from going outside instead of talking to that man.

How do the public deal with acid attack survivors?

When an acid attack survivor goes to a public place she/he get stares and people talking about her as it was her fault. At some point, people even say "it might be her fault she has done something awful to a man that's why the man has put acid in her face otherwise why would somebody put acid for no reason".

Because of these people talking shit, the acid attack survivor can go through depression, anxiety, or feel lonely. She might not feel that beautiful and not everyone is that strong to deal with it.
Never comment like "beauty is not only in the face life is all about inner beauty" what do you mean by saying her face is not beautiful?
 This is not a compliment.

Punishment for the attacker

Under Section, 326A punishment for administering an acid attack is a minimum of ten years which may extend to life imprisonment.

Is acid attack the solution of anything??

Acid attack is not the solution for anything. It destroys the life of the attacker who will go to prison and the survivor will also be depressed. The attacker's reputation will be destroyed. Society will give hard time to the survivor as well. If you like someone and they reject you just move on in life, not a big deal. There are more than 7 billion people in the world.

Laxmi Agarawal an acid attack survivor said: "he put acid on my face, not on my dreams".

A VICE TV DID AN INTERVIEW WITH THE MAN WHO POURED ACID IN HER WIFE FACE
HERE IS HOW THE INTERVIEW WAS:

Reporter: there was an incident with your wife can you tell us about it.

The survivor's husband: she was wearing the latest fashion clothing like clothes which show her body. My relatives, neighbor's and everybody starts taunting me telling me that I'd become shameless and unable to control my wife. I couldn't listen to their taunts. Then it's better to kill yourself or kill her.

Reporter: you were just embarrassed?

The husband: yes

Reporter: you care a lot about what other people think about you?

The husband: you feel bad and get angry. You'll be inclined to do something nasty.
I'd lost all hope. Then one day I beat her so hard that I had to repent. But she still wouldn't change or stop. Then the top of all that she cut her hair. I said "OK" as you have done this. You won't go to anyone else.
"I will pour acid on you"
When she started to realize what I was going to do, she turned her face to one side. I threw the acid and it burned the left side of her face, clothes, and hand and then I divorced her.

Reporter: you couldn't just talk to her about it?

The husband: for ten years I cried and screamed for her to change. You would do the same thing, wouldn't you?

Reporter: I wouldn't do the same thing.
Reporter: did you think your wife is beautiful?

The husband: yes, she was beautiful.

Conclusions: just to feel more powerful than her wife he poured acid in her face. To feel more of a man and have control over his wife he poured acid in her face. People like him still exist.
