UAE announced holidays for the private and public sector for Islamic new year




Ministry of Human resources and Emiratisation have announced a holiday for Islamic new year on Thursday, August 12,

Because of Hijri, the holidays were  given on Thursday so the residents can enjoy a long weekend 

The Federal Authority for Government Human resources  announced public holidays for the government sector on  Thursday 12 August

Hijri Calendar-Islamic Calendar also known as the lunar calendar include 12 lunar months of 354 or 355 days


Muslim Celebrate Hijri because It refers to the time when prophet Muhammed started his journey from Makkah to Medina in 622 AD
